5.1 Surround no longer an option after creators update

Using the latest Realtek Audio drivers and Optical jack on an Asus 370-F motherboard with the Windows 10 creators update. It used to show the 2 channel stereo and an option for 5.1. I can see a DTS selection with the quality, but not in the drop down for the selection of the channels, does anyone know a fix for this?

System:
Windows 10
16 GB Trident Z 2400 DDR4 Ram
Intel I7-8700k CPU
GTX 1080 GPU
Asus 370-F Mobo

Uninstall your audio drivers, reboot and then reinstall them under an elevated command,
i.e: Right click installer>Run as Administrator
You should download the latest audio drivers from Asus's support page mind you after you've made sure you're on the latest BIOS revision.

Latest, even with fresh install as admin. Even tried Beta Realtek drivers. Bios was updated a week ago it is on latest. Even tried downgrading to an older version of the Realtek audio drivers and 5.1 used to be selectable, no change.
