'Ello lads. Been a long time since I've been on these 'ere forums.
My Samsung SyncMaster 932B has decided to kick the bucket, and thusly, I'm in the market for a new 5:4 display.
The Samsung was not that great a monitor; 19 inches of screen buggery, a flickering backlight and was still bright at 0 brightness; so my eyes were quite strained. Though it had a feature to increase saturation, which is noice.
And before the obligatory "16:9 > 5:4" posts come in; I cannot abide widescreen monitors. I game and read text in equal measures, for what it is worth. That, and I much prefer the almost-square shape to the widescreen rectangle.
I've also configured Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, Rome 2 and a few other games to look lush with my 7850 @ 1280x1024. I do not wish to go and modify everything again to compensate for a higher resolution monitor.
My max budget would be around £120. As far as inches go, bigger is better; I ain't going any smaller than 19".
So yeah. Any good models kicking around? I ain't got a shred of brand loyalty, for what that's worth.
