Hello , i get this weird usable ram in my control panel , i dont know how to fix it , i tried unchecking the max memory in the msconfig and it didnt fix my problem , i have an Intel DQ45CB mobo and on the specs it says it can use 16GB of memory max , however , when i am going to my bios settings and change the speed of RAM from 800Mhz(currently using) to 667Mhz suddenly i dont get the usable memory anymore , whats the problem in this case and how can i fix it?

There likely isn't a problem at all. If you have 6.00GB of memory, and windows is saying 5.46GB is usable, that's not unusual. Windows itself will use some of your memory, and a little over a half a gig isn't really unexpected if you are running Windows Ultimate.

Dont change anything. It is 100% normal for windows to borrow some RAM. I personally have access to 15.9/16GB.

Ah, I see now. I was confused, thought you had 16GB. Yes, it's called reserved memory. Just like when you have 1TB hard drive, you really don't.
