Hello ,

My PC won't start as I get 5 shorts beeps and my screen is dead.
My specs are:
Motherboard: Asrock FM2A68M-DG3+
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 845 4x3.50GHZ.
RAM: x2 - DDR3 1600 4GB CL9 corsair Ven K

I've tried almost everything got all the peripherals and put them back , tried to open it with the one of the two rams but the PC didn't stop beeping, :i've changed the VGA cable , put HDMI in case the VGA port is not working .
At some point when i removed everything +plus the battery, my pc opened but when i removed the VGA cable from the screen my PC started to beeping again and didn't open when i reboot it.

Can anyone help me what to do next ?

i'm out of ideas. 🙁
Thanks

Solution
5 beeps on an ASRock board actually means "No GPU detected", not RAM error.

"I've just remove the GPU and stick the Vga cable at motherboards port . Still 5 beeps"

The motherboard graphics ports are not usable because your Athlon X4 CPU does not have integrated graphics.

"Added the GPU back and my pc opened"

What do you mean by "opened"? Opening a PC means taking the side-panel off -- LOL
Do you mean your PC booted up okay?

Re-seating the GPU card (which is effectively what you've done) can fix poor contact issues between the contacts on the card and those in the PCIe slot. So that was probably the cause of the beeps.

Please state clearly, is problem fixed or still not working? Because you...
5 beeps meaning its ram failure, but since you've tried using one of two rams (vice versa using the other one) try to re-install the cpu into the socket.
Hello ,

Thanks for the reply ,
I've tried all the above you mentioned twice. My PC opened as I removed everything for motherboard and put them back on.

While the PC was opened I removed the VGA cable from my screen and the PC started beeping again ,when I reboot it never re-opened :/

I cannot spot the issue here :'(

😢😢😭😭😭😭

Added the GPU back and my pc opened.

Does this means that the GPU has problem ?
I'm so confused

Which cooler do you have and does your GPU sag*

By sag i mean the GPU is not straight horizontal but its kinda where the GPU power connects it just is a bit down aka not in level.

It might cause like GPU to bend motherboard a bit like that or the CPU cooler if its like tower "Big" one as cryorig H5/H7 it can bend motherboard a bit.

Sorry for not responding sooner, i had accident later that day.
