5 Beeps on Startup

Upon trying to boot my new system, I get 5 beeps on startup. My system (that I tried to boot with) is an Asus z170 Pro Gaming, an i7 6700K, some Corsair vengeance DDR4 8GB, and a Corsair CX750m PSU.

According to Asus, 5 beeps means 'failure of hardware component'. Now my 6700K is brand new, so I think it must be the motherboard, as I doubt intel would send me a broken CPU. However, there are no pins bent, the CPU is placed correctly, and the CPU fan works without problems (although the RPM slow down after the 5 beeps are heard). The LEDs on the motherboard work, and so does the RAM, and external fans. I reset the CMOS.

The PC stays on, but without any signal to my screen. The CPU does not seem to get warm.

What can possibly be the problem?

Thank you for your answer. It is not the memory sticks however, I'm afraid. On my particular motherboard, RAM failure results in a continuous pattern of beeps (which I also tested by removing the RAM and booting up). It has to be the CPU or the motherboard.
