I wipe and reload Win XP on older computers to use in South Africa with youth I am helping in study. I received a 2008 Toshiba laptop satellite A210 on which I'm missing 5 drivers: 1 - vga compatible video controller (ATI Radeon x1200) (2) Ethernet controller (3) 3 base system devices.

I've tried various drivers google searches have suggested but none work. I also called Toshiba support who say they no longer have drivers for this older computer and OS. I simply need to be able to play study videos and view PDFs. WiFi and sound are working.

Does anyone have a reliable link where I can access what I need and that may have these drivers? I can send more specifics on the drivers (names as well as VEN & DEV info).

Thanks in advance,
Janet

Hello Elbert,
Thank you for this link and info, I will give it a try today.

To answer you question there are three yellow question marks saying base system devices and when I look up the VEN & DEV numbers it indicates Ricoh memory stick host controller, Ricoh xD picture card controller and another Ricoh controller (I've forgotten the exact wording although have it with the computer; I'm unsure whether lacking those 3 will affect what I need or wish to do on this computer...

Elbert you're a GOD, I am now able to play the downloaded study videos after having downloaded the ATI Radeon. I did get an unusual message, however when I checked device manager the Video Controller line with the yellow question mark was gone. I did also download the Realtek driver, however that didn't work to eliminate the ethernet controller yellow question mark.

So at this stage (other than considering updating my web browser such that this toshiba can play YouTube/Internet videos must I bother to try to resolve the Base System Devices (Ricoh ones, the last one was Ricoh SD/MMC host controller)? At this point I have not yet investigated the links for the 3 different Ricoh drivers.

Thanks again for your continued help,
Janet
