I have a supermicro P4DCE+ MB w/ two 2.4 GHz Xeons running NOT overclocked. I've had instabilities recently, i.e. losing
disk info that spontaneously healed. No obvious failure mode but BCM system health monitor reports consistent -2V on the -5V supply. Is this something to be concerned about, and possibly the source of the intermittent failure?

Well, I don't know of anything on a PC that uses -5v any longer...although I've heard that some onboard sound chips do. As for server boards, I'll take a guess that it's the same situation.
