Hello. I want to build a new gaming pc since this one my parents gave me was a mediocre gaming pc but it was generally a powerful one in his era. How much would I get for it if I would want to sell it? CPU:I7 3770 3.4 GHz, mobo: Joshua and something else (typical bad mobo like hp's standard), ram:2x4 1333 mhz, VGA: ATI 7570 HD 2 gb, hdd: 500 Gb 7200 rpm. I don't remember the other specs but the model is Hp p6 2324el. Anyone can tell me approximately how much is this old friend worth?

Question from Nico Ryujin : "5 years old pc worth now?"

Hello. I'm going to build a new gaming pc from 0 so I would want to sell my old one which is an hp p6 2324el. It was a gift from my parents so the pc wasn't built up from scratch. I just want to know what would be an honest price for selling it or if it's better to sell the components separately. CPU: i7 3770 3.4 Ghz, mobo: Joshua and something else (Don t remember but it's a terrible motherboard, classical Hp pre-built pc s..), ram: 2x4 1333 mhz, VGA: ATI 7570 HD 2gb, Hdd: 500 gb. I don't think the psu is relevant because it's a really weak one, just enough for this build. What do you think? Also can you help me with building the new one? Budget is 1000 €, regardless of selling this old one. I would want something to max out games in 1080 p and 1440p (monitor gonna be next upgrade). Also a build that is future proof, not something that I have to change in the next few years. Opinions appreciated

It is, if you can find somebody willing to pay that for it. For 150 bucks you can buy a brand new Ryzen CPU. So unless somebody has an entire system with a bad CPU, which is not all that common, they probably are not going to be interested paying 150 bucks for a six year old processor.

Honestly, you might be able to swing two hundred bucks out of that system if you hit up the right person, but most people would rather put that money into a new platform, not a six year old system that is likely to start having issues sooner rather than later, and need a new motherboard or graphics card at some point.
