50 Degrees Celcius @ Idle 4690K and 78 degrees under load while playing GTA 5

Some help would be appriciated 😀

Idle temperatures are useless beyond telling you that there is a major cooling performance issue if you see 80-100C at idle. Do some measurements under load and only start worrying if you see temperatures above 75C.

My i5-3470 idles at 50C because I set my CPU fan profile to 25% (the minimum allowed) below 50C.

Nope just the turbo clock... when needed..

hmm, while playing GTA or evolve stage 2 it can go up to 80.. when stress testing it can get to 85/90..

As ie mentioned idle temps really mean squat as the sensors are really made to measure that low they are most accurate in the 70-110 C range. That tells you that it was just a fan speed issue and I'd certainly check temps during a stress test before I considered ocing with that cooler

Hmm yeah ok but when gaming it can still go up as high as 80c, i'm thinking about getting the 212X instead... do you know a cooler in the 40 euro range??

And whch one is the best out of these two? i can find them here..

the Cryorig H7 for 44 euro's and the hyper 212 EVO for 29 euro's
