~$50 gaming motherboard

"gaming" as applied to a motherboard is largely marketing fluff.
Possibly, it might apply to a motherboard with sli/cf capability

What cpu are you considering?

Most lga1150 motherboards will overclock a G3258 cpu.
It takes a more expensive motherboard to be able to overclock a "K" suffix cpu.

That isn't accurate. All kseries chips can now be overclocked on all chipsets not made directly by intel, depending depending on bios updates/revisions. That change was made when the old 3258 was released. Yes the better chipsets will yield better results in most cases but not all.
