We have Comcast /Xfinity Blast internet service in NW Indiana. I thought Blast speed was 105 Mbps until a Comcast rep told me our area hadn't been upgraded and should be delivering 35-50 Mbps.

Thinking we had 105 Mbps I have been trying everything I could read (and understand) to increase our speed from 60+wired/45 wifi. After the Comcast rep said we have the 50 Mbps, and verifiying it on their website, my question is now is how am I fortunate enough to be getting wired 60+Mbps on a supposedly 50 Mbps feed?

Thanks in advance for any help on what I'm finding to be a pretty steep learning curve.

P.S. Speed are per the Xfinity Speed Test from their Chicago server.

Their speed tests are never 100% accurate, and their speed caps aren't accurate either. The top tier for Comcast, Cox, Time Warner Cable and other cable operators are "uncapped" - and you should bet 50-60Mbps. I have Time Warner Cable in Austin, and their top tier is 300Mbps...I typically get between 320Mbps and 330Mbps.
