500-800 gaming pc

Ok guys.After some initial confusion I have successfully upgraded my Pc to run most games on an old lga 775 socket thanks to some of your help.I'm currently running a stock core 2 Duo e8500 and a r7250 1gbddr5 gpu and can play (as an example) gta v on normal setting realitively good(some city portions have massive slow downs,but thats a given seeing as im eunning a 4 core game on two).
Anyways,long story short,in september I will be building my first gaming rig.Im looking to spend 5-800 and im hoping to have a significant upgrade over what I have now.Im stumped with where to start as there are so many processors and gpus out there and im fairly new to this.Anyways if anyone can help I dont need an OS hdd,monitor keyboard,psu case or speakers.Thanks again everyone

Best advice I can give is come back in Sept oe whenever you are ready to actually build. Prices will change and new cpu's & Gpu's should be out by then...

Ask again when you are a week or so away from buying the parts. Between now and then there is going to be alot of parts and price changes that will make any list we make now invalid as the best system/upgrade. Also when you do post back you the formula in this sticky http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/353572-31-build-upgrade-advice It make it easier and faster for us to get the right build(s) posted.

Thank you for the prompt reply guys.I SHOULD clarify,I'm planning to build it in september but slowly buy the parts I need between now and then,probably mobo first.Also I should add my case sucks so for the right price I may get a new case as it would serve two purposes.1 I get better airflow and 2 I could buy a cheap psu and sell my old build.

You should definitely save your money and buy everything at the same time.
Buying bits and pieces here and there is a bad idea.
Get yourself an un-openable money tin and put the cash into it you are planning to spend.
The when you know you have enough for what you want get the can opener out and get the new machine.
