Hello there 😀 So recently i've tried to "upgrade" from 32-bit to 64-bit, but I failed miserably and ended up with the same 32-bit system. So I thought... "Hey i'll just build a new computer". So now I've sort of assembled a parts list, and i'd like to hear you guys' opinions, and if there's anything I could improve on :) Here it is: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ezze0002/saved/Bk6323

(And i already have a 500W powersupply and an ok case)

Hi your link doesn't work, you want to select the "Permalink" at the top of your build, or copy over the [ bb ] code (click the button on your build page at the top for it).

Also for your PSU what is the brand and model?

First link worked.

Don't buy any of that. Buy this instead:

Mine is a little more money because I included a PSU since you didn't tell me what you have (and my fear is it may not be a good one). Without the PSU mine is cheaper and will absolutely blow yours away in nearly all tasks. As well should you want to upgrade some day there are still new processors coming out for this platform. AMD FX is dead and will be replaced later this year, and is old to begin with.

Thanks 😀 The psu i have is a Corsair CX 500W. Will this build of yours be able to run GTA V, or something in the lines of that?

Mine will definitely run GTA V very well.

As for the PSU the Corsair CX will work but it is known for issues here. If you run into stability problems playing games that is the first thing you need to replace.

What about other games? Like Battlefield 4? Or even Battlefield 1? Will it be able to run those at low with 60fps? I've been playing around on pcpartpicker and came up with a new build. Would you mind taking a look at it? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/9bCgsJ
It's more expensive, but i feel like it's worth it. I'm don't know if i'm going to get it, because your build looks fine to me, and if your build is able to play new releases i'll just get yours 😛

(Edit) Maybe instead of an AMD FX 8320 i could pick an 8350?

Using either of those AMD processors would be a downgrade from the i3 setup I gave you. FX is dead, 2012 technology that is being replaced at the end of the year. My $500 computer would likely be faster than your $800 computer.

My setup should run Battlefield 4 fine as well as the new BF1, although since its not out yet we can't be 100% sure, but considering it likely uses the same engine as BF4 theres no reason it shouldn't work fine.

If you can spend a bit more and want to, this build will blow it away:

For nearly the same price. If you prefer Nvidia, you can swap out the R9 390 for a GTX 970 for a few dollars more.

i was looking at the i3 when i was "assembling" the build, but i found the 8320. It said, that it performs better and it's cheaper on cpubenchmarks. Why is that?

It is cheaper, cpu benchmarks is not a real life comparison. Userbenchmark is a better comparison:

http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i3-6100-vs-AMD-FX-8320/3511vs1983

It uses real users systems and real life scenarios, still it is generalized.

The only advantage the 8320 has is in stuff that can spread across all 8 cores, of which there are no games and very few programs where it has an advantage. The i3 blows it away in most all real world tasks, and all games. In fact the only true benchmark the FX-8320 handily beats the i3 is in using 7zip, so if you spend your life compressing and decompressing files, the FX is for you :) otherwise get the i3.

The other thing with the i3 is of course if you decide for an upgrade, you can just drop in an i7-6700 and go some day, which is way faster than anything on the FX platform by light years.

Instead of a gtx 960, can i go with a 970? It's 100 more dollars. Is it worth it?

Is the EVGA GTX 970 4gb SSC ACX 2.0+ a good one?

Yes EVGA is a great choice, good warranty as well.

Hey 😀 I heard, that the i3 6100 would bottleneck a gtx970. Is that true? If so, what should I choose instead of a gtx 970? An r9 390?

The R9 390 is just as fast if not faster than the GTX 970.

Anyone who told you an i3 6100 will bottleneck a GTX 970 doesn't know what they are talking about.

Hello there again, compadre!
So i'm still figuring out my build and i found a gigabyte gtx 970 for $242. Should i buy it? Is it better than the MSI version?

They are very similar in perormance I would not call one better than the other. $242 is a great price, however on June 30 AMD is going to release the RX 480 that is faster for $199. IMO if you can wait thats more worth it.
