Thanks for pointing out the ram.

Swapped it out for http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148559. Just regular old 2 stick 4gb set. Also added the i3-3220 and 7850, as well as the case. Thanks for pointing that out about the case it never occurred to me, and does save some good money.

$40 dollars of mail in rebates sounds nice, but I never went through the process for my build, and this guy won't for his. Judging from some horror stories about it we might be better off too. I should've specified before about mail in rebates.

Looking at the pictures of the Apex case, I don't see any fans, is that the case or are they right in front of me like the ketchup in the 'fridge?

it only have Optional 80/90mm Front/rear/side Fans and Optional 120mm Side Fans
also the components will not produce much heat inside the case
thus nor preinstalled and neither need to install fans

though you can go for ketchup if you want
or more gpu power

just in case , hd7870 to increase budget just above 500$
