$500 Traveling/ Lounging Laptop

I currently have a desktop and a very old laptop that takes about 3 minutes to boot (on a good day, not kidding). I do quite a bit of traveling and I also like to lounge around the house. I would be completely open to getting a 2-in-1 or a laptop that flips into a tablet. I would actually prefer those if it's in the budget. I also want an ok keyboard and an ok trackpad. I will also be using an external DVD reader (I'm assuming the 2-in-1 won't have one and the transforming laptop might) so it needs at least 1 USB port. Also I want normal Windows 8.1, not the RT version. Thanks for the help

What about the T100/200/300? I don't know if they would be called a laptop or a tablet but are they a valid option?
For the Asus does it stay at an angle when it's in tablet mode? And I don't know much about laptop CPU's so why does it say i3-4030U? What does the "U" mean?

The transformer books are way slower, only sporting atom quad cores compared to their faster i3 counterparts.

U stands for ultrabook, the U CPU's are specifically designed for ultrabooks/tablets to give them long battery life (which is why all of them are 17W TDP or lower).
