I am going to college soon and this requires me to purchase a laptop. I was wondering if 500GB would be enough for my college education needs. Storage is all I need to know about.
Thanks for your answers.

Again, that's exactly my point.... brand names don't matter but if I can't find a link, I can't read the specs or offer an alternative. I searched on the model number and got no hits so thanks for the link

Looking around some more I did find it for about 760 euro which is worth about $825 US

If you are unhappy with any particular component(s), I'd suggest looking for a Clevo reseller in your area. They "build to suit" and you can pick upgrades for most components. There's a list of resellers here

As for Win 10. all 7 amd 8 owners can get Win 10 simply by registering. Windows update for 7 / 8 users has install ed an "upgrade" icon on the task...
Depends what you do with it.... I have 25 years if Drawings, Specifications and business records and it takes up a merer 100 GB.

A single game can take up 40 GB and large music, movie libraries will eat up GB fast.

Our laptops are used for preparing Field Drawings in AutoCAD and the 7200 rpm 750 GB SSHDs serve us extremely well in that department. If you pick a laptop that lets you pick your components, you may find very little difference in cost for various HD sizes.

For example.... the following comes standard w/ a 1TB drive and offers various alternatives for upgrades at the costs listed

1 TB HGST Travelstar™ 7K1000 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s Hard Drive - Special! $0.00

Brand names aren't particularly important ... it's kinda funny watching peeps arguing over which brand makes the better stuff when none of them actually make anything and they are all made in the very same factories. "The vast majority of laptops on the market (94% in 2011) are manufactured by a small handful of Taiwan-based Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), although their production bases are located mostly in mainland China.

Major relationships include:

Quanta sells to (among others) HP, Lenovo, Apple, Acer, Toshiba, Dell, Sony, Fujitsu and NEC
Compal sells to (among others) Acer, Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo and HP/Compaq
Wistron (former manufacturing & design division of Acer) sells to Dell, Acer, Lenovo and HP
Inventec sells to Toshiba, HP and Lenovo
Pegatron sells to Asus, Toshiba, Apple, Dell and Acer
Foxconn sells to Asus, Dell, HP and Apple
Flextronics (former Arima Computer Corporation notebook division) sells to HP
MSI Makes thier own
Clevo makes their own and sells direct through distributors or under the Sager retail arm.

have a link ? ... did a search and came up dry 1st 2 pages
