500gb SSD or 120gb SSD + 500gb HDD for gaming PC?

Hello, I was wondering which would be the better option for a mainly gaming PC, assuming price isn't an issue. I don't need any more than 500gb of space, and will be getting Windows 8.

Is there a downside to keeping all games/apps/software on a single SSD? Or is getting a 500gb SSD just be a better idea overall compared to getting a 120gb SSD for a boot drive and 500gb for other games and software?

The SSD I am looking at is the Samsung 840 Evo.

having a single 500gb SSD has less hassles than an SSD/hdd setup.
There wont be a need to force the installer to the use the HDD (not all installers can be redirected to the hdd btw)
You wont have to move the users folder & other similar tweaks (all to avoid space issues on the ssd)

If money is not an issue get the 500gb ssd imo.

You can run out of spec pretty quickly with a 500GB SSD. It'll format to about 450GB - leaving headroom to help prolong its life. Windows will take up about 50GB Then theres drivers and software for mobo, gpus, cpu, printer, router, mouse, keyboard, audio. So you'd need another 50GB for this. So it leaves 350GB for movies, songs, games, etc. A BF4 update can be 11GB alone.

That's why I chose a 120GB SSD and a 2TB HDD.

I won't need any more than 500gb. I don't download any movies or music, just games. My main question is if there is any issue using a single SSD as my only drive.

Nope, I have a samsung 500gb 840 in my gaming laptop. No problems, no reinstalls, nothing and I've had it about 2 yrs now.
