Build Advice Help with a new 5060 Ti build ?

I think the most I can afford is a 5060 Ti atm. I'm wondering the best system to build around it. I'm upgrading from a phenom 1100T system with 32gb DDR3 and a 10603gb card. I'm assuming the 10603gb is not worth keeping.

CPU: I was looking at a 9800x3d, but I'm assuming it's too powerful and a waste. I saw a 9600x at only 200 dollars for a good looking deal. Or is a 9700x or 9900x better? (I think I'm going with the 9600x.)
Memory: 2x16gb Vengance ram at 6000mhz latency 10. Cheapest I could find.
GPU: 5060 TI Zotac 16gb gaming amp
HDD: Samsung 990 pro 2tb for cheap storage, or 9100 pro 2tb. Which one is better? (going with 9100pro)
Motherboard: Looking at the Gigabyte Auros elite AX. Do I need V2 version? it says the CPU might not work right with the wrong bios.
CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB. LIterally for the RGB so I can see inside the case. My old case has dead RGB lights in the fans now.
And I have a very ancient 650w PSU. Should that suffice? It's an ancient corsair. Corsair TX650W power supply. It was release in 2008.

Look for a board that supports PCIe 5.0 for that gpu that supports PCIe 5.0. I would also look at a board chipset that offers more PCIe lanes for dual M.2 SSD's.

You want to use a AIO with those fish tank cases seeing how cpu air coolers don't work so well with them (basic physics). Otherwise look at a conventional case.

You want a ATX 3.1 psu due to the power adapter for these Nvidia RTX 40XX and 50XX cards.

Any thoughts on an RX 9060 XT 16GB? If you're mainly playing games, it has very similar performance to the 5060 Ti, for a good bit less.

I do nvidia because of past problems on linux. I would consider it but I'm never sure of the compatability. And I use linux drivers on Fedora and know they work. I forgot to mention this would be a linux gaming desktop. although I wonder if that is a bad idea for new gaming. Does linux work well with most new games?

I hate having to get antivirus and other things with windows. I'm not sure how much I want to go back. Although I would like the full access to games.

Is it worth spending another 40 dollars and get a 5070? I think the 5070 TI is too expensive. I'm on a 1080p monitor. Not sure if it matters.

AMD gpu's work better with Linux than do Nvidia gpu's. Look at the RX 9060 XT 16GB.

Might be worth the 2x cost.

If i go with the phantek case I may get the dominator ram for looks and an AIO. And potentially a bigger looking GPU for looks. I'm not that good at aesthetics though. Not sure which AIO would be best to go with it for looks let along performance. Do the new chips auto overclock more. I was hoping it could get near the performance of a higher end chip if/when the 9600x3d comes out.

I mean, Nvidia is famously known for their difficult Linux driver support, and the RTX 5000 series has had pretty bad drivers in general. There's a reason Linus Torvalds had the choice words he did in the clip below. That said, Nvidia drivers are definitely much better now than they were in the past, and they're just about at the same level as AMD's proprietary or open source Linux drivers. That said, they don't make it easy for all of the different Linux distros to support them. Different distros can have very different install processes, and new features that are standard in Windows have taken much longer to get into the Linux drivers.

If you're looking at a 5070 you really should check the RX 9070, it's faster all around, and it has double the vram, for not much more.

What I saw was a Zotac Amp Extreme Infinity. But they only seem to have the mirror on 5070 Ti and up. Is there a version with 5060 Ti ?

I think I need to see what is coming out for the super cards and if the 9600x3d comes out.
