Question 512 SSD vs 1 tb hdd + 128 ssd

Im choosing btw two laptops ( Lenovo 530 and hp pavillion x360 cd1004ne )
The major difference is in the storage Lenovo is 512 SSD and hp has 1 tb hdd +128 gb ssd
I plan on using the laptop for University and for (mild) Photoshop and other vector programs and cad.
My concern is whether 128 gb of SSD will be enough to hold all my programs + windows 10 or is it safer to go with 512 SSD and external hard drive.

IMO, 128GB SSD is too small. You have to constantly monitor it to avoid filling it up. Get the 512GB laptop.

120/128GB OS drive is too small.

Yes, people do make it work. And spend far too much time managing that space.
I gave up on a 120GB C drive about 5 years ago.
