What is your budget, specifically? 'Not big' means different things to different people.

On the photoshop/video editing front, I'm not too familiar. However, from a strictly 'supporting' 5120x1440 standpoint, almost anything remotely 'new' should be able to support that.
Most cards can support at least 4K 60Hz (3840x2160 = roughly 8.3m pixels). 5120x1440 = ~7.4m pixels

On a budget front, new... An RX550 should be capable enough of 'supporting' it, but your workloads would probably benefit from a stronger GPU, I would suspect. Perhaps an RX570 or RX580?

K620 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz with 30-bit color

And you're trying to achieve? Likely some missing info here....

It can only do that over DP so if the monitor doesn't have DP then he is SOL with that current card.

True, but the OP is either running one of a select handful of 5120x1440 monitors (which all have DisplayPort), or dual 2560x1440 monitors.... most of which should have DP.

How much are you paying for a 1050 ti you can get far better amd cards for less usually
I'm not sure of rx 570 prices in the uk, but that is not that bad of a deal if it is new. In the u.s. market the rx 570 beats out the 1050ti in scenario
Its refurbished I see the rx beats it in just about every bench mark but as I said I want it for productivity not gaming so cuda cores are more important with the software I use. Wish I could have afforded a better card but this will do for now spent all my money on the monitor.

The 1050 ti is a perfectly good card, in fact i'm using one right now. The rx 570 is better price to performance is all I was saying.
