512gb usb wont ntfs format

Hi,
When i try to format my 512GB USB stick in Win7 it fails will only format to ExFat is there a reason for this, or am I doing it wrong ...

Do you really mean 512MB rather than GB for a USB stick (if GB that is one huge stick), and no it should be able to use NTFS. What model is it -- Kingston HyperX Predator?
