even tough my memory total usage is 54% the remaining processes dont add up to 54%
recently i started having ram issues, black screens followed by beeping (by windows i presume)
games were very, very stuttery
memory diagnostic said everything fine, and i did SFC repair in command prompt
the memory usage felt as if i were only using one 4gb ram stick out of the 2 i have (8gb ram total)

after installing 2 2gb sticks it got better, but still the numbers didnt add up

12gb ram (2x 4gb ddr3, 2x 2gb ddr3, dual channel)

What do you see when you boot to OS GUI without any apps opened up?

12gb ram (2x 4gb ddr3, 2x 2gb ddr3, dual channel)
Mind sharing what the sticks of ram are? You might want to simply reinstall your OS if your idle memory usage(while no apps are open after booting straight into OS GUI) as that's tell tale of memoryleak and nothing else will remedy it apart from recreating your bootable USB installer for your OS and reinstalling the OS.

As for your memory, might want to look into a 4x4GB ram kit to help get the most out of your platform.

How many windows processes and background processes do you have running? all of those .1% for those add up as well.
wow they really do start adding up, which is weird considering i havent really done changed/downloaded anything and it started happening
what i dont understand, if at 14% usage at the rate of 740mb/s that effectively means i have around 5.3gb usable ram, is memory calulated differently? the 5.3gb seems to be close to the currently in use memory
