I found a really good deal on a 4tb 5400 drive online and I want to go for it, mainly so I can download all my steam games. But I see many threads online saying 5400 is too slow.

I have a 256 emmc SSD that I run windows and most apps from.
Another 500gb ssd. -a few games on here
7200 rpm 3.5 inch WD blue. 1tb. -most games are on here

Is 5400 rpm too slow to be worth it?

You do know that those are called "Green" drives because they conserve energy by keeping the RPM's low and slow and probably the seek times/latency also. Do you often take naps/snooze while gaming?
If so ...
