So I already have two "Seagate 4TB Enterprise Capacity HDD 7200RPM SATA 6Gbps 128 MB Cache" Drives. Which are great drives, super fast for content and the like. But my movie collection is getting quite big and I only have 700GBs left on one of the drives, and it keeps increasing. The other drive I use for other media like pictures and such. So now it's time to buy another one. But this time around I want to save money on a cheaper drive with the same amount of space. So I was thinking about a 5400 drive instead. Mainly because instead of that $160 drive like the one I linked, I could go 5400 and get one for like $130 or less.
So essentially my question is, for content such as only movies, or even music and such, is a 5400 a good bet? Because on my 7200 I have things like pictures and they load really FAST. On a different computer I have a 5400 with pictures and they don't load as fast. So since I'm not doing stuff like pictures, just videos and such, does the 5400 vs the 7200 even matter?
I just want to save money this time around for another drive, and not go all out for a 7200 drive.
Thanks for the feedback!
