Question 540Hz monitor is capped at 500 frames ?

Hi all,

I got the Zowie 540Hz and the option for 540Hz shows up in NVIDIA Control Panel, but when I select it the screen goes black for 3-4 seconds then reverts back to 500Hz. I can barely find anything about this online.

I am using the cords that came with the monitor.

CPU: Ryzen 7800X
GPU: 4090
