I think you mean the 560* ti

I think the 6870 is better then the 550ti.

That's true the HD 6870 is about 5% faster than GTX 550ti.

here is the perfomance of the cards

ati 6950>gt 560ti>ati 6870>gtx 460>ati 6850>ati 6790>gtx 550ti

go for 550ti is good option you want physx but if you want perfomance in price like gtx 550ti then go for ati 6790 if u can spend more then dont go for 6850 go for gtx 460

but again all on your budget 6850 is better then 6790 and gtx 550ti

Surely the 6870 would trounce the 550ti in terms of performance? Even a 460 is faster than a 550ti... Its just Nvidia's strange naming schemes!

GTX 560Ti is xzfaster than HD 6870 and comparable with HD 6950

GA-Z68AP-D3 is only capable of Crossfire support if you choose to use two graphics cards down the road. It is not SLI ready. Not everyone will take advantage of Crossfire or SLI, but it certainly gives a slight edge to the Radeon cards for your particular motherboard should you choose to double up on GPUs.
