550W PSU good enough for this build?

I'm building a system before I head off to boarding school and need to know if the 550W PSU I have on hand can handle it all.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 4.1GHz Black Edition (Six Core)
HDD(s): 1TB Seagate
RAM: 2x4GB Beast Kingston DDR3 2400MHz
GPU: 2GB Sapphire HD 7870 Overclocked
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46
HYDRO CS: Corsair H80i
RAM CS: G.SKILL FTB-3500C5-D Fans

That's not a well known brand. I would go with a more trusty one. Some examples are Corsair (try to avoid their CX series), Antec, Seasonic, and XFX. Some higher end rosewills are also good.

Would the Rosewill Stallion RD700 (on sale for $39) be recommended, or should I ride it out on the LSP for a while then get something better like the RX-635AP? (I'm at $45 after buying everything else.)

It's not bad, but it's cheaply built compared to others (Okay caps, single sided PCB layer).

That Antec is actually made my Seasonic and it's great quality. You probably don't need that high of quality if you can't afford it. You could get a 550W Antec for $65.

It's all a matter of your plans. If you think you'll be adding another GPU in the future I would save up for the 620. If not, you can go for any of the brands I listed at 500+ watts. I'm currently running a 550W Antec and have been using it for 3 years. I bought it off someone who had it for quite some time as well (I'm assuming another 3-4 years).

And from the looks of this forum and what gumbykid said, the CX sounds like it would not be all too great.

The motherboard isn't very good , poor thermal design.

The G45 and G46 are very poor boards to build with.
