I'm using a threadripper 1920x on an x399 taichi board, in all these tests the ram was at 3000mhz.

In PassMark these sticks score well 98/99 percentile in some scores, good in others (lowest is 64th percentile), and horrid in the mem latency test, 4th percentile in distributed mem mode, 25th percentile in local mem mode. I tried using only 2 sticks with no changes.

I know amd cpus arent known for having good mem latency scores, but are there maybe different sticks I could use for better results around the same price range ($250)? Or is 56 a decent score given the amd cpu?

I should note that I'm not noticing any real performance issues.

Why don't you list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

I'm assuming you got your board on the latest BIOS update prior to firing up the benchmarks and have tried tinkering with latencies for your ram in BIOS...?
