Old VX550's served well through multiple builds, only I'm not sure I should keep pushing my luck with a budget-model Corsair that came out in 2007. Concern warranted?

If it comes to it, what's left of my budget allows for either Corsair CX or an on-sale MSI A650GF. (Without the 10-year warranty where I am, unfortunately.)

"I'm not sure I should keep pushing my luck with a budget-model Corsair "

I agree.

Think of it as a little insurance for your 3060.
I'd go with the CX.

Also noticed the box quotes MTBF at 100,000 hours for the VX550, or roughly 11-12 years of use. So your take is objectively correct. Thanks to everyone who replied.
