[SOLVED] 5600x compatibility?

So I just purchased a new Ryzen 5600x CPU. I was wondering if my MSI X470 Gaming Pro motherboard has bios support for it? Or will I need a new board as well? It says its compatible with AM4 socket boards but I'm not sure if all the manufacturers are following through on that. If I do need a new board what boards currently have BIOS support for the new chipset?

Do you currently have an older CPU in your MSI X470? If yes, update your BIOS to the latest and then check with MSI (forums/support) for Ryzen 5xxx support. As far as I can see you should be fine.

Yes i currently have a 2600x in the board. Ok cool, would I see any performance benefit to a new board? I dont overclock or mess with anything so I figured the 470 would survive, thanks for the help

550/570 would give you PCIe v4 but not much else performance wise.
