Been using the same PC for 8 years and my wife knew I really wanted to upgrade, so she orderd me a 5600x on launch day and it is arriving on Tuesday from Amazon.
I need to order a motherboard that I can update the bios or have one that will work out of the box. As I'm upgrading from an old Intel system.
She said she will pay for that aswell and it can be my Christmas present but early. She said £150-£220ish
what mobos can I pick from in that range? Could you give me a couple of ideas so I can choose? I have looked on scan.co.uk and Amazon. None of them seem to say bios flashing on the item. Im very confused when I got my Intel I just plugged it in but everything I'm reading is saying that wont be possable.
It's mostly for gaming I did overclock my last processor and I will get an m.2 pci 3 or 4 drive aswell. I tend to keep my hardware for along time so worth overdoing it.
