I have a ryzen 3 1200 (not AF model) paired with an rx 570 8gb and ive been wanting an upgrade. Do i get a ryzen 5 5600g or ryzen 5 5600x, im not sure if the extra £40 is worth it, considering i also only play a few AAA games.

Solution
The Ryzen 5600x, the G has the APU and only PCIe 3.0 support not PCIe 4.0. On that note, what motherboard are you working with? Depending on the motherboard, you will need to update the BIOS before you can drop the 5600X in the board.

What is the current PC's full system specs? The motherboard in particular matters. What is your budget? IMO the 5600x is worth it over the 5600g because the 5600g is essentially a 3600x with an iGPU on it.
