So I've noticed the i7 10700k and Ryzen 5 5600x are similar but intel does better with editing, does 5600x do good with streaming and editing?
Also, I got 10700k but people say I need a Z chipset to OC the CPU because I went with a B560m Prime Asus
but with 5600x I can overclock with any cheap am4 mobo if I use CPU z According to the internet
but I also may switch to the 5600x since it doesn't consume that much power like the 10700k since I have a budget cooler, Coolermaster hyper 212

I just wanna know which is better for Streaming, Editing, and Gaming for being the best buck.
I'm on a Budget!!!!

10700k will edit better due to the 2 extra cores. 5600x will game better due to the faster cores. There are no clear winner here as they are pretty close, but you don't loose anything with either. The differences we are talking about are miniscule.
5600x will consume less power due to smaller lithography and can be overclocked on both b550 as well as x570. Flip side is there is so little gain with Ryzen OC that its not worth the effort, not to mention you need a good cooler.
10700k can only be overclocked on z boards. On b560 you can OC the memory but not the CPU.
So as you can see, there is no clear winner here. If you wanna save power and game better, then go with the 5600x. If editing is your priority then the 10700k might serve you...

If you are on a budget, do not change anything.
Springing for a new cpu, mobo, and possibly ram will be a hard sell on a budget.
You will not notice any difference.

If your current performance is inadequate, you are looking at something much stronger(and expensive) than a 5600x.

As to overclocking, do not bother. Current gen processors are already binned and the more overclockable chips are used in the more expensive products.
You could get lucky, but do not count on it.
Current turbo mechanism's do a good job of boosting power to a few cores when conditions permit.
One of the conditions is a 70c. temperature.
If you are so inclined, you could replace your hyper212 with a better cooler.
The hyper212 is somewhat comparable to the noctua NH-U12s a bit less perhaps.
Here is the noctua suitability chart for the 10700K processor.

The NH-D15s would allow you to maximize the cooling:

But I may need to switch the i7 10700k since I already bought 4 parts, the CPU, the CPU cooler, case, and 1 SATA SSD
and I just need something for good streaming and editing.
and Idk if the 5600x is the best for that, except my cooler is good since it doesn't take much power like the intel cpu

5600x wont be something worth the hassle when you already have the 10700k. If you make the effort, then get the 5800x instead of 5600x. 10700k is fine for streaming and editing.
The cooler doesn't take much power because it is entry level. Try not to overclock with that cooler and board. Should work fine at stock speeds.

You are a big help man :)
And one more question, the i7 is unlocked so do I really need a Z chipset?
If you want to overclock the CPU, then yes you will need a Z board. Dont get the cheap ones as they do not have good VRM or power phases. As for the cooler, get something good from Noctua or Scythe...
