Bought a 570 Gtx by EVGA to replace my 9800 GT, But it seems to me like its having more problems and is slower than before but it does kinda run games like warhamer 40k that i couldn't run its just not what was promised with horrible framerates. I can't even play WoW without framerate spikes in the starter zone.

Idk how to check whether or not my pci- e is 1.0 or 2.0 also i checked dxdiag and it says 16x lanes but i'm still unsure heres my system info.

for the least amount of money, this is your best option.

Buy an AMD athlon II/phenom II quad core.

the phenom II 840 can be had for 100 dollars. The athlon ii 640 is exactly the same for a similar price, only it is clocked slightly slower but it is a quad core and easily overclockable to make up the difference.

Buy an Asrock 880g-le motherboard. Assuming you have no intentions of running two cards in SLI, this board will cost u roughly 50 dollars.

You asked for the cheapest possible solution. That is pretty much it right there. It won't offer u the ability to run xfire, but it is more than enough to provide the performance needed for current and future games. Its amazing bang for buck at the end of the day. I have the same board with a 6950, no problems at all.

Note that board is an AM3 board, as is the processors i have given you so you if you decide to change either of the two make sure they match. But seriously, if u want a solution, quick, now, and for cheap. Do what i said.

Oh and also, buy a stick of 4gb dd3 ram so everything is of the latest tech, and your build will be banging. Decent ones can be had for as cheap as 15 bucks. Every other component is fine. PSU should be more than fine as well, thermaltakes usually pretty good.

Edit: And this is a good time to learn that no matter how expensive processor you buy, it is going to be outdone by any budget contemporary cpu in 3-5 years. Law of diminishing returns, u pay insane amounts for hyperthreading in the i7 for example, which offers almost nothing in everyday computing.

well im interested in 3D gaming and i know that SLI is better than any single gpu stand alone setup, also couple things i dont understand my processor right now is double core I believe @ 3 mhz, but so is that athlon II why is that one so much better? Also would I need a new Operating system with the motherboard?

Your CPU is a huge bottleneck to your 570, and the CPUs recommended above are quad cores, and a newer architecture. Furtherly they run faster DDR3 RAM, plus a PCIe 2.0 slot should be included on the motherboard. Its not surprising you didn't see much of a performance increase after you upgraded your GPU to a 570.
