actually, if i were you, i would either go with 2 x GTX 460 1GB in SLI as opposed to GTX 550 Ti's

that said, the 2 x 460's in SLI will basically be the same performance as the 570 so between 2 x 460's or the 570, whichever is cheaper...

if performance and price are equal, I'd go with single card over SLI all day. SLI scaling from game to game is not the same.
