Hey Guys

Recently upgraded my rig with a Ryzen 7 3600X and a 5700 XT.

But not matter what I try I just cannot get the card powered on!

My PSU is a Seasonic M12II-EVO 620W - Which I've read should be fine for this card? PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong because then thats obviously the issue.

The 5700 XT is powered by 1 x 8 Pin and 1 x 6 Pin socket, Ive tried both 2 cables and a 1 cable split to these and still no joy.

However, I've also had my hands on a GeForce 2060 Super recently and that, being powered by a 1 x 8 Pin socket, worked perfectly.

Im basically in the ball park of too weak a PSU, but please help me decide if thats not the case before I throw £90 out on an upgrade.

Thank you!

Solution
Problem is not necessarily the power of the PSU, 650W can run practically any 2080TI system. But quality is important and the M12 is an old outdated platform by today's standards.

Having said that, I'd still expect it to work normally based on what you've said, even if it isn't the best. And being as a 2060S works fine, I would sooner question the 5700XT as the problem first.
