Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has ever crossfired two 5770's on an ASRock M3A770DE motherboard. One thing I've been reading about is that one PCIE slot is 16x and the other is only 4x. I'm not really worried about that because there's a minimal drop in the performance since they aren't extremely high end cards.

The main questions I have about this are
1.) Will I have enough space on the MB?
2.) Will my PSU be sufficient?
3.) Will the heat from Crossfiring cook my computer?

My current build is :
ASUS Black IDE DVD-ROM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135201

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD322GJ/U 320GB 7200 RPM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152244

RAIDMAX AZTEC ATX-619WO - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156190

COOLER MASTER RR-H101-22FK-RA - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103075

AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103871

SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100283VX-2L Radeon HD 5770 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102898

ASRock M3A770DE - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157176

RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152028

G.SKILL NS 4GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231396

As for cooling, the case has 2 80mm fans on the window (One sucking air in the other spitting air out); and a 120mm fan on the front and back.

Thanks in advance for your guy's help!

Observe: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/crossfire-pci-express,2095-5.html

The P965 and P35 are the boards you want to look at the performance of, as they have x16/x4 Crossfire. The P45 and X48, meanwhile, have full x16-x16 CFX.

While the chipsets have improved over the years, the point remains -- yes, you ARE going to lose some performance. A 5770 is powerful enough that a x8 bus is probably the minimum for it to reach its full potential.

I know I'd be much better off with a nicer mobo, but I have to work with the mobo that I have because I only have a little over a hundred smackers to spend at the moment :[
