5770 problem?

After updaing to 11.7 catalyst driver version, my 5770 would randomly have a temperature spikes and high loads even at the desktop. heres what happens in order

1. The glass effects on windows seven would get disabled
2. right after that, my temperature would go from an icy cool 32c to 60c(60c is no concern though) all of a sudden
3. my fan starts fluctuating from low to high to low to medium and so one

the only way to fix it is a full reboot. anyone have any ideas to fix but not to roll back to 11.6?

Thanks for posting, I upgrade the driver yesterday and after reading this and looking at CCC, mine is running at max temp too, even at idle.

I also notice the idle clocks went from 157/300 to 400/900. WTF?

Even at 400/900 it's running max temps of 55c and I am unable to change the fan speed and apply the changes. Even if I set it to 100% it still says 24%.

I'm going to uninstall right now and go back.

I went back to 11.6 and the temps are now 34c and idle clocks back to 157/300. Had this problem with an earlier driver as well, same issue with the idle clocks.

ya ill try to roll back from ccc 11.7 and back to 11.6, idk why i upgraded even tho i had no problems with 11.6. ..

Thanks for warning me. I have two 5770s and it would've been a nightmare to fix.
