My parents use a 58 inch Panasonic TV, the model number is TH-58PX60U. I'm the tech person of the family so when it suddenly turned off without warning and won't turn back on, I researched online and tried to look at the problems and it seems its the "10 red blinks of death."
I opened it and cleaned the dust inside and out, but it didn't work like how it did for some. I used other outlets hoping that it was because the current one it's on was defective or short circuiting. It makes the click like how it turns in every time I plug it in, but the screen remains black.
The only solution I can think of is this "TV repair kit" that I can't find anywhere. It costs around $70 from what others on the TV forums mention, but I was hoping someone from Tom's would know a thing or two about this or can give me the lead on this repair kit or other ways to fix it. If I can fix it, then the TV is all mine since the parents want to buy another TV instead of fixing it.
