Hey all, am building a pc with the 5800x and I can't seem to get a post or any display at all. There is a solid red VGA light on the LED status which blinks to cpu and then dram and repeats the process. Heres a video of it. View: https://imgur.com/a/eQtRxUV

I flashed the BIOS correctly, the BIOS led flashed for a few minutes and then stopped, which I then proceeded to plug everything into the motherboard but I still get this same issue.

Whats the go here? Even when I take out the GPU it still has the exact same red VGA led cycle. Is this a piece of faulty hardware or?

Here's a list of parts, exclude the GPU for now as we are just using a gtx970 while we wait for the new card to arrive.

What the next move here?

Solution
Do you know the BIOS revision that came on your new motherboard? Has it ever worked...with a Zen2 processor maybe?

Shipping BIOS' for B550 may not work with 5000 series processors... they may need an update to a compatible BIOS rev first; that would be F10 at least I believe although F11d is preferable.
It worked..... I must have got the b550m instead of the b550 driver. Jesus christ I am the dumbest man alive.
Thanks for the help anyway mate!

If you're referring to the bottom left corner of the motherboard where it says 'REV 1.0' then yeah thats it.
I am not sure as I don't have another AMD cpu on hand to be able to try that, which sucks big time.
You know what actually.... I might have used a b550m BIOS update instead of the b550.... i am going to redownload it and flash it again and ill get back to you.
