I'm putting together a PC for the first time to replace a laptop for recording, audio production (using multiple tracks, VSTs, processors through Sonar) and some basic video production (using Vegas). I've frankensteined a build from reviews and forum posts (thanks community members) and was hoping to get some opinions/advice/notifications of glaring errors on what I've got so far.

In addition to the following I will be using an external audio interface/sound card, monitors and external HDDS for storage. Possibly an old sound card if compatible. OS will be Windows 7 or 10.

Priorities were to keep it quiet and somewhat 'futureproof'. I'm currently undecided on going for 2x8gb ram or upgrading from 1 to 2x16gb in the near future to combat bottlenecking. The video card is mostly guesswork trying to get the minimum for the basic video editing and keep it quiet.

I'm a complete beginner with this stuff. Any thoughts & opinions welcomed & appreciated.

Alternatives so far include a slightly downgraded build with - 5820k CPU & ASUS X99-A mono and an x99 build recommended by a friend with more substantial differences featuring the 5820k & ASROCK Extreme 4. Again any opinions much appreciated.
