5820K cores at full load at 60C. Temperature normal?

Cooler: Be quiet dark rock 3 (not Pro).

I have a brand new corsair H110i GTX ready to install, but I just wanted to know how my CPU temps are holding up on air cooling. I'm folding, which is pushing my CPU to 95% - 97% and my GPUs are about 94% - 98% utilized. My CPU is at stock and not overclocked.

Fantastic temperatures! You can OC it for sure. Most likely that cooler will perform better than the H110i if I will be totally honest with you.

Closed loop water coolers in general have the same performance as air coolers that are nearly 3/5 the price.

The dark rock 3 is a fantastic cooler. The difference between this and a hyper 212 EVO is night and day. But for a $75 street price, it should be! I wish that it only cost $45 to $50, so that I could recommend it to people doing new builds. At $75 it starts to approach AIO water cooler prices.

Those are great temperatures while folding.
If you do decide to install the Corsair unit, make sure you have good airflow over the VRM heatsink on the motherboard.
The Corsair unit is about 2c better under full load.
BUT it is 9dBA higher in noise output. A huge difference.
So the H110 is slightly better at cooling,but a lot louder while doing so.

The $75 water coolers are usually poor quality with a single 120mm radiator. I don't understand why people get them honestly when the air coolers for the same price are far better and less noisy. I'm just saying, don't be super surprised if your H110i does not cool much better than the Be Quiet Dark Rock 3. It may be a few degrees lower at most.

If I were you, I'd keep the Be Quiet. Near same cooling, and the H110i is known for 60db of noise.

Edit: So the H110i is about 5C better at most.

Yeah, noise is the reason that I never installed it; the H110i GTX. My CPU temperatures are honestly hovering around 57C but hit a max of 61C. I thought that was high considering my CPU isn't overclocked. I was hoping to keep my CPU temps in the 50's no matter what. Perhaps that realistic once I start overclocking. The case for this computer is the Phanteks Pro, but I plan on upgrading it to Define R5.

Also the H110 has a 280mm rad, not a 120mm one.

I don't know how people can frankly live with the H110i. I could never personally deal with my computer being that noisy. I would not go through all that just for some better cooling.

Yeah rcald feel free to OC with that Be Quiet cooler. You could get it to a solid 4.0Ghz Ghz and keep temps under 90C always according to that Techpowerup review.

Man why would you change the Enthoo Pro?, it's a FANTASTIC and very well priced case, i wish i had one!

The H110 is not $75. I was talking about $75. And yes it cools 5C better max, but the question is if it's worth it? Is it worth the extra $50 of whatever over the Be Quiet and the 60db of noise for 5C better max, 3C typically?

Once you start dumping the heat from both video cards in the case, CPU temperatures rise accordingly.
The only solution is to have external mounted radiators.
If you mount the cpu radiator in the front as intake, the GPU temperatures increase from the heated air they receive.

Nah imo is not worth it, but that doesn't mean it cannot cool better.
