Hey, what's up

So I need silent operation in my studio. I have 5820K system, currently mounted in Zalman Z1 case with Freezer i30 cooler. Runs nice, all that, the problem is, it's a bit too noisy. Sooo, I'm thinking, i'll get the beautiful Fractal Design Define S Black w/o window, because windows in a pc case is just pure stupid, and it obviously wouldn't help in my case, aaand I also think, I'll get a Noctua cooler, because, well, they be the best and all that. So I see the D14 2011 is discontinued and Noctua is advising on gettin their latest and greatest, the D15 cooler, and I'm thinking, well, I should get one. I also think that I wanna get a Noctua 140 mm fan for rear of the case, because well, there would be less noise, awright. Also, my mobo is Gigabyte X99-UD4, a great mobo, it's just that my GTX 960 is sticked into one of it's PCI-e slots (the one it should be sticked in, I just forgot which one, yikes!), and I am not sure if everything's gonna fit and everything. What do you think? I wiil of course do some research, but I want your help and also answer; is this best way to do it, in my case?

awesome, thanks

The Define S is a huge case and will take any cooler I can think of. If I put these case fans on silent mode, I can't hear them at all, normal mode is pretty silent too, I can only hear them when they are on Full Speed mode. Your motherboard has 2 PCI 3 x16 slots, maybe you could move your card into the other one if the cooler is in the way.

Yes, but wouldn't putting case fans on silent mode cause the CPU cooler to work louder? Case fans must exhaust the air out of the case as fast as the CPU cooler putting out the air, for the maximum efficiency and silence.

I was thinking about putting two Fractal 140 mm fans in the front of the case and the Noctua 140 mm fan in the rear, and setting the Fractal's fans to work super slow for maximum silent operation. (=front has sound isolation, back - not)

I haven't noticed any temp or noise difference except less noise from the case fans. My PC is completely silent even when gaming and I see about 70c max on my GPU and 60-65c max on my CPU, both overclocked.
