yea i agree completely. Things are looking great for ATI again w/the 5xxx, be interesting to see how the battle heats up in the next gen. :p but man, i can't wait for CF benches as well!

Not too bad if these numbers hold up

If those are true then Crysis is well and truely beaten by a single video card. What's even better news is that they were using a Phenom II 955, I would wager you could expect to see a few more FPS when the game is running on a overclocked Core i5/7.

John, are those numbers Minimum or average FPS for Crysis?

OK, think of it this way, and bring some salt.
If it has double rops, double shaders, 15% higher clocks, 30% faster memory, and the only thing we can compare it to is a card using CF, then yes, its double
I think the new schedular is helping alot here, I also hear theres been memory opts, so itll get even more milage out of its memory, much like we saw vs G92 and G200, where AA is no biggie

They said they will UNVEIL everything on 10th. That means they will do major Presentation. WTF is UNVEIL if not that. and what will they unveil if we will rely on leaks. I think today we must see official reviews or something.

Umm, explain what youre saying?
30fps minimum is just 2 lower than a 295 average fps, qhich is 11 fps slower than what the rumors are

..which means .... new card(s) suck

Ok, so a 295 stutters and fails at 25x16 in Crysis, while the 5870 plays through.
Or, you may want to have 2 or 3 monitors playing a game. eyecandy cranked, 295 and a 285 fail, the 5870 cruises.
ATA, Crysis, GTAIV therell be other, for all we know, GRID2 will kill nVidia cards without DX11, so who knows, but we do know, any games coming out will play better on these new cards
