5900 cooling?

Will the fan that comes with the 5900 be enough to cool the card...or will temperatures actually increase in my case. Im afraid of overheating in my case becuase i have a dell 8200...and ventilation aint that great...do u think a 3.5 bay fan will be enough to cool the card? Thanks.

3.5" bay fan, that doesn't sound very good man 😉 😀. Do you have any spare 60mm, 80mm or above vents in the front of your case at all? What about the back?

If you have two 5.25" bays free, you could do a mod as I did. I took two 5.25" bay covers, drilled holes, & placed a nice 80mm fan over it. It's an intake fan, & along with my other 80mm fan at the back (exhaust fan), temperatures have dropped significantly.

If you something cooler for your system, why just get a radeon 9600 pro, their performance is not that very far from the fx5900.

I disagree. The 9600P is about even with a 5600U rev2, which puts it on the level of a GF4 Ti without AA/AF. The 9600 and 5600 have half the pipelines of the high-end cards. 9800, 5900, even 9700 are much faster than 5600U or 9600P.
