Hi,
I ordered a 5900x and the ASUS Strix X570-E Gaming mobo. I'm thinking of sticking 2 1TB NVME drives in it, but I'm a little confused about how the PCI-e lanes work.
I have a 3080, which I would definitely want to keep on x16, which leaves x4 CPU lanes. However, I the chipset has lanes which can be used for another NVME drive, at the expense of SATA lanes.
I was wondering how this works? Will having two drives limit the lanes available tot my GPU - reduce it to x8, for example - or is there another compromise somewhere?
Any help would be much appreciated
