Question 5900x for 4070ti

I just bought 5900x for my 4070ti super am i cooked?

Depends on the rest of the system specs, specifically the power supply. Was the CPU an upgrade of an existing AM4 system, or part of a new build? If gaming is the goal, a 5700x3d/5800x3d would have been a better choice, for an AM4 upgrade.

It’s an upgrade, I had a 2070super + 3600x combo
For the power supply I have a RM850x
In worst cases, while looking through benchmarks I noticed there was like a maximum of 30fps difference between 5800x3d and 5900x so I didn’t think it’s worth sacrificing the cores and threads differences because I have this build not solely for gaming. What do u think???

It's a solid upgrade from what you had, and should be fine.
