That isn't how it works.
Now you see why there is no benefit at present to buy a large core count CPU only for gaming. The game designer has to program the game to use more than a single thread. For the huge majority of games, they optimize for the most common CPU type. Meaning there are usually only 4 threads at any given time.
Despite being a six core CPU its overall performance is quite lacking for gaming, It is slower than an i5 4690k where it matters (per core performance) and only marginally better than the i7 4790k at heavily threaded workloads.
That being said, is your RAM running in the proper mode? We may be able to help you if you give us some information like motherboard, ram, psu, OS etc.
