hey guys can u pls tell me if this a a stable oc

5930k 4.3mhz corV 1.210

prime95 run about 20min max temp on cpu was 80c room temp about 25c

so my question is this enough stress to comfirm stable and are the temps ok?

cheers

Solution
If your system passes a 12 hour stress test of Prime95, then yes; I would consider it a pass and I would make another increase and test for another 12 hours and rinse and repeat until it fails. If your system fails during the test, back it down and retest.

... or do it the proper way. Start at base speeds and start with slow increments.

i wouldnt consider that 100% stable (though im not saying that it is NOT either). i would run a few different benchmarks and stress tests (possibly even simultaneously). when testing stability you really want to TRY to get your CPU to crash. better to find out when testing and not during something more important.

Thanks mate just worried because my gpus are 210+ clock and 700+mem 32+ volt

And max temp that got to it 43c with maxed out valley bench mark

I'm thinking themo paste is not working properly?

I should mention I didn't build this it is 2nd hand

Cheers

waterblocks do better on GPUs than they do on CPUs. there's a lot happening in a CPU especially with 6 cores. you might need to reapply thermal paste. if you aren't sure when it was last applied, i would do it anyway. what is your CPU temp while gaming?

...and what temps do you hit after 12 to 24 hours of Prime95 testing? I can't count the number of threads I've read:

OCer: "I OCed my processor to X.YGHz and my system booted, but when I run a game, my system crashes. Help me fix it!"

Me: "Did you stress test the OC?"

OCer: "My system booted so it should work, right?"

Me: :Umm... No! You have to test your OC"

OCer: "But I saw a guy on YouTube who got higher than I set it and it worked perfectly!"

Me: "And I saw a guy on YouTube selling 70" 4K HDTVs in the local Walmart Parking lot for $50. Should I get one for you too?"

Overclocking is a long and lengthy process, if you want to keep your components safe. Small step, test. Small step, test. Ignoring that and "cheating" and you're just asking for trouble.

yeah fair enough wolf but ive read a lot of posts explaining that the prime test over 20min and it should be somewhat stable, also i heard prime cause cause damage if you leave it on too long

so none of these is the case?

it took me a awhile but today i have 22c ambient temps and managed to oc @ 4.6mhz and 1.32v

been on prime for 1hr max temps are 78 but sits at 72-75

im pretty sure this is stable but will run a 12hr test tonight
