Hi,
I tried setting "Max CPU boost override" on my 5950x but I cannot see any difference neither in core clocks nor in benchmark results. As far as I can see in HwInfo the CPU is not hitting any limits like TDC/EDC/PPT/Temp so I am surprised that the CPU is not boosting higher after setting "+200 MHz" compared to "+0 MHz". Is that expected/normal behavior? Am I doing something wrong?
My rig:
BIOS:
I did a BIOS reset and then only set:
BoostTest
To the test boost I am using BoostTester (jedi95/BoostTester) and run it like 5 or 6 loops.
Result at +0 MHz:
Result at +200 MHz:
Are you experiencing a different behavior? What is limiting it to not boost higher when setting +200 MHz?
